Meet Fresh bistro’s very own chef, Shun Viger. Inspired by his Japanese mother, he found his passion in food at a young age. Shun’s philosophy is that cooking is a tireless quest in making something perfect that will never be perfect. His career started at a retirement home, which allowed him to make a difference in peoples lives at a young age. This is where he realized cooking would become his career. Working at various local restaurants including Salty’s on Alki, Endolyne Joes, and 0/8 Seafood Grill, he has been committed to good, tasty food. Studying culinary arts at The Art Institute of Seattle and graduating from the SSCC culinary program helped him build core fundamentals of cooking. He now holds three “Best Taste” awards from Taste of West Seattle and hopes to continue his passion in the hospitality industry.
